Nowadays underlays are recycled foam with a stick bonded crepe paper underside. With properties ranging from 8mm 9mm 10mm and 11mm thick. Tog rates of 2.6 t to 3.1 t. Sound insulation from 31db to 43db and all manufactured in the UK. Rubber underlays that are latex free can be used for allergies. All the foam underlays are spring back helping the carpet pile to lift up after foot traffic or furniture. Giving your carpet the look it had when laid, for years to come.
